So when the girls came over last week, I pulled out some old photos with Valerie.... and look what I found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we have, maybe we haven't changed that much over the years! This was from Junior High....

Moving Time

So with the help of my cousin Jared, last Saturday we loaded up his truck with some items for the new store. One of the retro chairs we purchased was conveniently located in the perfect spot for a "seat" in the back. I thought it was so cool, I jumped back there and did my beauty run... check it out! Good thing there weren't any cops around... but can you imagine if you saw someone like that driving down the street? I think I would have a good laugh!

Did I get that right? Tonight we went with my parents to see the Angels play the Braves. Unfortunately the Angels lost... but it was a fun game and the fireworks afterwards were amazing! Go Angels!!!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

So on Tuesday night Rachel Trotter, Valerie Page, Casey Herberich, Carrie Braun and I got together for a girls night! It was SO MUCH FUN! We had rootbeer floats and hung around and chatted the night away. It made me miss the good old Mission Viejo High School Days. The next morning Russ told me that I need to have more girls nights, because he saw the smile on my face and he could hear all of us girls giggling all night long! So here's to many more girls nights to come....

Up up and away

The new store is coming along! Our sign was delivered and installed
yesterday. Now were one step closer to opening! Were thinking we
should be open by the beginning of next week!

So the story on this is when jim was a kid he always wanted to join to
safety monitors at his school. The big kids wouldnt let him join so
after 50 years he finally becomes an honoreree member of the safety
monitors

So in commemoration of my dad's 50th birthday tomorrow (Monday, June 2nd), I have decided to post this video. You many not know this about him, but he is a karaoke king... no joke. Super table setter

So this guy can break down a table in seconds. Debbie and I went to
macaroni grill for dinner and this guy would be able to clean up a
table super fast. Its pretty cool

Band aid blues

I wish I had a good story about it. I wish I could say I hit my head
while rescuing a little old lady from a burning building. Or even I
bumped my head on a cupboard. But no, I woke up one morning with a
scab on my head. Then a week later (today) the scab fell off leaving a
5 mm hole on my forehead. I went to the walk-in today because I was so
worried that I would have a huge scar on my forehead. The doctor said
he could do stiches, but it would probably leave a worse scar then
letting it heal. So he recommended a dermtologist to help so that it
won't scar. So now I'm supposed to wear this beautiful band-aid on my
forehead. Everyone at work got a kick out of it. And russ wants me to
put a jewel on it so it has some Indian culture to it. I think I'll
just brave it out, wear my band-aid for a week and apply my anti-
bacterial creme. Let's see if I end up with a battlewound or not. Can you think of any fun stories I could use when people ask?

Snail Tipping

So every night when I take Baxter out to go to the bathroom, he snail tips. Let me explain. We have lots of snails around our neighborhood...and for some reason, whenever we walk by one, Baxter goes up to it, sniffs it, and then proceeds to tip it over. Why? I have no clue. But tonight I couldn't take it any more. The poor snail making its way across the sidewalk got to me. I pulled Baxter away before he could preform his normal brutality and saved the snail from its humility. I think it just goes to show that I've had enough. Today at work was extremely hard--I seriously do not get paid enough for what I do--something I hope will be rectified in the near future. We decided to close our doors and technically tell 50 people that they were out of a job (technically speaking--they have to "close their doors" until June 5th, and then hopefully the company will get going again). Being the only Human Resources person--questions and concerns, tears and anger was what I had to deal with all day. I had to put on a happy face and pretend like nothing effected me. Luckily it didn't... but when I came home tonight, I think the snail tipping was the last straw. I couldn't take it any more. Why does life have to be so tough for people some times? I know that we're never given more than what we can handle--but it just seems so unfair at times. I know things will get better this week, and as the next two weeks go along, I'll eventually reap the rewards of being patient and a good employee, but I just can't help but feel bad for the people I work with for everything that is going on. I don't feel like I can blog about it--just because you never know who reads these things, but if you want to hear the whole story--give me a call.... or maybe when all of this cools down I can sit down and write the whole story down--you won't believe all of the drama that's gone on!

Ped Egg

So this is what Russ and I did for Family Home Evening tonight-- we made a video for my mom. We saw this product on TV last night and she was so grossed out by how they dump the "excess skin" into the trash can, that when Russ saw it at Staples today--he had to buy one! The rest is movie magic. Check out our version of Ped Egg!

The Renaissance Fair (Russ Post)

Amelia's CA babyshower

Today we got to go to Glendora to meet with GJ and Amelia who are down
visiting. I went to Amelias shower and Russ and GJ went to the
Renaissance fair to hangout with knights and wenches. Russ brought his
wooden sword- something he's been hiding in the closet for the last
few years ( he made it in woodshop).
We had a ton of fun!

Garage Sale Scores

So this weekend we got some AMAZING garage sale loot. Russ found some RC car stuff--about $3000 worth of cars and equipment for $200. He's going to sell some of it to pay for the purchase and then play with the rest of it--he spent the rest of the weekend playing and tinkering around with the cars. I found a jar full of paintbrushes for $3--all in excellent condition--probably worth around $50. We got a couple of books and movies--Russ got Zathura which has our favorite quote in it "Get Me A Juice Box Biotch" for a $1. We also got a $50 airplane dog carrier for baxter for $2--almost brand new! We got a brand new beach chair for $2. And my favorite--this $50 brand new DRAGON FLY kite--never been opened for $5. I can't wait to fly it this summer at Salt Creek Beach! We picked up a couple of other small things--but we got some amazing loot this weekend! :)

BJ's Pizzeria

Brian and Cathy were in town this week vacationing. We went to BJ's on Thursday! :) Cathy snapped this shot of me and Russ--I thought it was kinda cool with the glare! :)

Coach Girls

On Tuesday Cathy bought me my VERY FIRST COACH PURSE! I hear this is like getting your first training bra. :) And I love my new purse! It's the new Ergo Leather Pleated Hobo. Cathy got the Burnt Orange Color and I got the Tan. Here we are with our cute new purses and matching bows!
