TAGGED

Rachel tagged me a few days ago and I just saw it! :) Here are my answers to her tag:

10 years ago I was: 15 years old, just about to turn 16 (my birthday is in a few weeks). My parents were planning a beach party for my sweet 16... At Capo Beach. We had Little Caesars pizza and it started to rain a little at the same time the song “It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to...” came onto the boombox. It was a fun day with friends. I have no clue how I remember those details... But I do! I also remember getting my license on my 16th birthday and my first joy-ride with Becca Myler (who was in town), and her “saving my life” when I wasn’t paying attention and almost ran into another car on Spartan....yeah, that would have been fun on my first day with my license. 10 years ago, I was also a sophomore at Mission Viejo High School.

5 things on my to do list today:
Go to work
Go to Ralph's and get groceries
Go to CVS and pick up my prescriptions
Package the March/April issue of Schooled and zip the file to the printers
Work on my endless to-do list

6 things I would do if I was a billionaire:
Pay for expert doctors and nutritionists to get my body back to normal
Sleep in every morning and sit outside with a good book every morning while eating breakfast
Travel the world for a few years without any obligations of coming back or any time restraints
Set up my “home” in a beautiful beach house somewhere in Orange County
Get Russ all of things he wants—like his EVO (but with that much money—he’ll probably want a Ferrari along with a few other things)
Set up a few charities for orphans and for animals

5 years ago I was: 20 years old (almost 21), I just got back from my study abroad in Paris and Russ and I were engaged on Valentine Day. I was living with some new roommates, above Rachel and Tina, and I was going to BYU full time. I was planning on teaching swim lessons during the summer while planning the wedding. For my birthday, the Taylors were going to meet me in St. George and we were going to stay there for the weekend, along with going to Las Vegas for the Paris buffet. Seriously, I don’t know how I remember these things....

3 bad habits:
Biting my nails
Being too detail-oriented
Keeping my purse messy—it makes Russ frustrated that my phone is in there right next to my keys

5 places I have lived:
Mission Viejo, CA
Provo/Orem, UT
Paris, France
San Antonio, TX
Lake Forest, CA

5 jobs I have had:
Aqua Resource Swim Instructor Trainer/Lifeguard
My Family Tales Public Relations Specialist
Good Neighbor Mortgage Executive Assistant
Schooled Magazine Managing Editor
National Merchant Center Executive Assistant

things most people don't know about me:
Over the last year, I’ve come to find that I really love Sushi—especially Tokyo Rolls—which I dream about in my sleep. I have to shave my toes because they are hairy. I have Lupus and wish Russ and I could start a family—but I’ve been told it will still be a few years. I already have a ton of gray hair and it’s the reason I keep putting highlights in. Sometimes I wish Russ and I could run away and leave everything behind and just go live in another country for a few years. I smile every time I drive with the top down in my Mini. I hate cooking. I wish I could clone Baxter and have 10 of him (If I’m cloning Baxter, I might as well clone Russ too—10 of him wouldn’t be so bad either!). I love reading chick-lit novels. I enjoy dipping popcorn in chocolate pudding.

I tag Amelia, Carrie, and Desiree!

Deb, reading about your frustrations with Lupus broke my heart but seeing how positive and upbeat you are towards life is a true inspiration. For as young as we are, you've lead a pretty amazing life thus far with your travels, etc. and I know that when the time is right, you and Russ will be blessed with a great family. Thanks for being so candid in your blog-it really helps with every day life getting other people's perspectives on their own traisl and tribulations. You grew up to be a pretty amazing woman!!

Ditto. You are such a STRONG woman Debbie and I too love how open and optimistic you are about what you're going through.

And holy crap how do you remember so many details from that long ago?! I started my tag and cannot remember a thing except my age, haha.
