Earthquake. Not such a good spot to stand.
Okay, so we just had a 5.3 earthquake in Chino Hills. And we DEFINITELY felt it here! My first reaction was to freeze and figure out what the heck was going on. My second reaction was to run to my office door and stand in the doorway--isn't that what they teach us in school? Anyway, as I was standing there, I looked up above me and was like--wow--this is stupid. My whole door and wall is glass! By the time I figured out how dumb it was for me to be standing there--it was over. We've felt a couple of other small one's...but everything is okay. I'm glad it hasn't really effected anyone yet. I was nervous that it was a big one somewhere and people were hurt, but the reports are currently not showing that. So reason number 1015 of why to live in California-- you get to ride earthquakes! :)
By the way the way, for those of you who have asked--this is what my office looks like. :)

Carole's 50th Birthday
For my mom's 50th birthday, my sisters and I had so much fun planning a birthday luncheon. We had about 25 of her close friends in attendance. We went to Lone Star BBQ in Laguna Hills. We started the lunch having everyone go around the table and introduce themselves and tell a story about my mom. It was one of the coolest things I have ever listened to. It was great to see her friends share how much respect and love they have for her. Some stories were funny, some were very touching, and some were great memories. It's amazing how everyone said the same thing about how kind, wonderful, peaceful, patient, and amazing she is. Happy Birthday mom! We love you! Here are a couple of random pictures from the lunch.

Lake Powell--Riley, Russ, and Chris tube hopping
check out some of these fun pictures from the trip!
Crashed on the couch after a long day of water sports!
On the boat
Chris Scurfing (surfing on the boat wake)
Kristen Wakeboarding
The 70 foot houseboat--I can't remember how much square footage there was--but it was around 3500. There were five bedrooms and then a dining area, family room, kitchen, two bathrooms, a upper deck for sleeping, lounging with a bar and a slide to go down, and at third top deck for sunning and sleeping under the stars. It was awesome!

July Fourth
A little late, but hey... it's alright. Here are some fun pictures from July Fourth. My parents have an annual pool party with the Barlow and Eady's. We hang out and swim, BBQ and then go and see the fire works in Laguna Hills. It's always such a fun day and we're ready to crash at the end of it. Here are a couple of pics from the momentous day.
Who knows what is going on here-- Russ is doing imaginary pull ups on the diving rings--I'm doing a wave and Kristen is doing the "lean."
Cousins hanging out in the shallow end.
Riley Mid-Air trying to squeeze through the tube!
Russ attempting to squeeze through the tubes!

Memory Game
No, this isn't the version with the square cards & pictures that you have to match...I love that game!!! Please follow the instructions below. I hope everyone who reads this does it because a) I'd like to see who actually reads my blog and b) it's always fun to hear other's memories. The other day Jessi was telling me a memory she had about something I said, and I don't remember it at all! :)
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next (if you choose to), re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Fleas...OH MY!
So we just got back from our trip to Lake Powell last night. We had SO SO SO much fun! Russ was once again called the Jet-Ski Pirate because all he wanted to do was jet-ski and explore the channels and caves of Lake Powell. They had to set a 30 minute rule because of him! :) We can't wait to post pictures later this week. We forgot our camera, so my mom ended up taking a whole bunch for us...and my brother-in-law, Chris brought his video camera and caught a few precious moments of the "boys" trying to take each other out on water tubes that were pulled behind a boat. It's pretty funny! The bad news was, that when we picked up Baxter last night--he had FLEAS! We noticed it right away and got him right into the tub. It took 3 hours to comb every square inch of his body and pick out all of the fleas. He immediately got a bath and another flea treatment to take care of the eggs... but the poor guy--he had the WORST vacation week ever! He has bites all over and he probably couldn't sleep at night because it was so bad! I quickly found out how much I hate fleas and now I don't think we'll take him back to the lady we had watch him... ugh... stupid fleas!

What Disney Princess Are you?
Dignified and hard working. With a gentle and soft-spoken manner you have something many people don't. Patience. Even through the moments of heartbreak you're still able to hold onto all of your hopes and dreams. Bide your time; your dream will come true.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
Maybe I should have Russ do this one too... it might be funny to see what type of princess he is!!!! So what kind of princess are you?

Lake Powell Or Bust
So we're leaving for Lake Powell. My Uncle Darren & Aunt Sarah have invited us on their 3000 sq. foot houseboat. They've got a boat and jet skis, kiaks, and a whole lot of fun ready for us! :) It's going to be an Eady reunion (my mom's side of the family) and we are going to have 22 adults and 8 kids there! We can't wait to share the stories with you when we get back! This is definitely a needed vacation to get away from all of the stress at work. :) I can't wait to come back relaxed and tan!

Babes and Gals
Last weekend Kristyn Thacker-Jackson was in town and we all met up for some yummy Cheesecake Factory. Rachel (and baby Brooklyn), Allyson, Me, Kristyn, and Carrie (with baby Abigal--her first night out with the girls). We missed Casey--who went to the Spectrum restaurant instead of Mission Mall. It was a night full of giggles, smiles, stories, and news! I can't wait for the next girls night out!

Brooklyn Trotters baby blessing
out all of your blogs. I think the last time I really was going strong
was before Russ' birthday in May. Luckily Russ has been adding a few
here and there. So my plan is to catch up this week! So I'll be
commenting on your blogs and adding photos and stories to mine!
Hopefully you won't get to sick of me! Here is Russ today at Brooklyn
Trotters baby blessing. He was asked to paricipate and he had such a
neat experience. I had to get a quick photo of him holding her
afterwards! So cute!
