Baxter-zilla

Attack of Baxter. And he thought Halloween was over.... It's fun
packing up things and finding lost treasures like old dog costumes
that still fit.

So it's official. Rachel is 5' 8".

So a few weeks ago, Rachel had a get together at her house and she
said she didn't know how tall she was. So instead of letting her
continue to guess for the rest of her life, we decided to measure.
And it's official. She is 5'8".

I finally got my own Facebook

So after everyone telling me I needed a Facebook.... I finally took the leap today. With some help from Jeni today (and hopefully some training from Amanda & Kristen) I am on my way to being an official Facebook-er. Russ has had one a for a few years... and we've had the magazine for a while, but this is my first! :) Please add us as friends! :)

The winnings

With the winnings debbie got a shirt and I got an evil robot dog for
Baxter. It barks and walks backwards and forwaards

Debbie wins big

We wentto dave and busters for robs bday and we were playing some
games. Debbie walks up to the mega wheel and wins 1,000 tickets which
was awesome. I later got a smaller jackpot of about 350 tix but debbie
was the big winner. I should take her to the roulette table in vegas
and start winning. It was a fun night

Need a good book to read?

A Wrinkle in Time (Time, Book 1) A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was a fast read that sparked my imagination. I read this book when I was younger and loved it... my friend Valerie gave me it again as a gift and I just read it for the second time and found it even better than the first time I read it! It really made me think about time, space, distance, etc.... the author has a wonderful imagination and I feel lucky to have been able to have been able to share in it. I just ordered three other books from the same author... "A Wind in the Door," "A Swiftly Tilting Planet," and "Many Waters." I can't wait to see what these books have in store for me.

Anyone else read this book? What did you think of it?
Any other good books out there that I should check out?

So yesterday (Monday) around 2pm, my boss and I were driving back from looking at some potential properties to move to for our business.... when all of a sudden I noticed in thh sky, plans writing VOTE YES ON PROP 8. Pretty cool.

Voting yeah!

Rip tide again!

Heather, Scott, Russ', cathy, brian and I went to our favorite sushi
place for lunch today!

Yes on Prop 8

Driving around town today we noticed a lot of people with yes signs and a lot of people with no signs.  So to do our part, we drove around  and Scott and I held our yes on prop 8 signs out the window.  On El Toro Road we hit a red light and got next to a whole bunch of NO on 8 people holding signs. So we started chanting "yes on 8" and they started chanting "No on 8". We were yelling back and forth for like two minutes and the light didn't change so we stopped chanting and then they stopped... and then it was really awkward as we sat at the light for about 5 minutes. But overall the sign holding was fun!
